In February 2025, Professor Barbara Bruno delivered her inaugural lecture, as TT-Professor of Informatics at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. The presentation highlighted her academic journey and research contributions in Human-Robot Interaction, offering insights into past research, current projects, and her vision for advancing the field through innovative research and interdisciplinary collaboration.
In February 2025, Professor Barbara Bruno delivered a talk in Heidelberg as part of the Science Notes series. In the talk, Prof. Bruno reflected on the importance of social factors in human-robot interaction and the need to integrate them in the design of robotic technologies.

In December 2024, young girls from Karlsruhe participated in a hands-on workshop focused on social robotics. Organized by us in cooperation with the university group she.codes by TEC, the event provided an introduction to core topics in robotics, including interaction, navigation, and design.
The collaborative SPARC project «Designing social robot interactions to support learning in collaborative making tasks», bringing together researchers from KIT and the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar, has been approved for funding by the Ministry of Education of India!
